Early Life and Education
Born in Venezuela, Ida Gramco started writing and analyzing at a young age. She studied Philosophy at Central University of Venezuela. After her studies, she had a successful academic career at the university.
Journalism and Editing
In 1939, she began writing and criticizing for various newspapers in Caracas. Her insightful observations led her to become the first editor of “Nacional” newspaper from 1943 to 1946.
Literary Pursuits
During the 1940s, she published her first poetry collections which were later translated into Russian and French. Her poetic works were well-received both nationally and internationally.
