Oynanış ve Hikaye
Shards of the Mirrors, ana karakterin gündelik yaşamına döndükten sonra bir gürültüyle uyanmasıyla başlıyor. Depoda bulduğu ilginç bir pusula, onu ayna dünyasına çeken olayları tetikliyor. Shards of the Mirrors, CSE355 dersinde öğrenilen non-determinism kavramından ilham alınarak geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirici, oyunun yüksek düzeyde bir parlatma aşamasında olmadığını kabul etmektedir; bu, onun ilk oyunu olma özelliğini taşımaktadır ve hataları düzenli güncellemelerle düzeltmeyi planlamaktadır.
